Daytrip tours: Southeastern Arizona and surrounding areas.

How it works:  Quite simply, you tell me what birding experience you’d like to have in southeastern Arizona, and I’ll do my best to make it happen.  Whether you are seeking a particular target species (i.e., Elegant Trogon, Five-striped Sparrow, etc), or just want to bird areas in general (i.e., Chiricahuas, Madera Canyon, Sulphur Springs Valley, etc), I will customize a day, or multiple days if you like, to try to accomplish your birding goals.

Rates:  The cost is $325 per day (10-12 hours) for the first person and $125 for each additional person, up to four individuals maximum.  I can meet you at a location and we can use your vehicle if you wish.  Or I can pick you up in my 4WD Toyota 4Runner.  Since I’m in a remote part of southeastern Arizona, I may need to charge a $30 pick-up fee to offset fuel costs if I have to pick you up in Tucson or other more distant locations.  This also applies if we seek bird species that are a much farther drive (i.e., Le Conte’s thrasher).

Wildlife biology consultant:   Having spent over 30 years in state and federal government, I'm well-versed in the processes to complete proposed projects on private/state/federal lands.  I'm skilled in writing/submitting Section 7 consultations to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the NEPA process, including writing EAs, BAs and BEs, as well as completing various wildlife surveys including point counts and Breeding Bird Surveys.  Inquire about consultation services.
